If you are a candidate, a 3Shape digital scan replaces the messy putty impressions of the past and captures a precise 3D model of your teeth in minutes. Those digital records support a planned sequence of aligners. The trays apply controlled forces as you progress through the series. CandidPro monitoring technology can allow the care team to review submitted scans and determine whether the teeth appear ready for the next stage.
What Remote Monitoring Does
Remote scans help document how the aligners are fitting and how treatment is progressing between visits. They can prompt instructions to continue wearing a current set, move forward, or contact the office.

What to Expect with CandidPro
Comprehensive Evaluation
Dr. Jeziorski determines whether the desired movements are appropriate for general-practice aligner care or whether specialist evaluation would be better. Digital X-rays and photographs are taken as needed.
Digital Scan and Treatment Plan
A 3Shape scan captures your teeth without putty, and the proposed sequence, responsibilities, limitations, and cost are reviewed before treatment. You can preview the planned movement before committing.
Aligner Delivery and Progress
At delivery, you learn how to insert, remove, clean, and store the trays. Complete remote scans and office visits on the schedule provided. Many cases finish within roughly 12 to 18 months, but the timeline is individual and depends on the movement needed and how consistently the trays are worn.
Refinement and Retention
Teeth do not always move exactly as modeled. If the final fit is not quite where it should be, a new scan is taken and a short series of refinement aligners is made to finish the job. After active movement, retainers are worn as directed, typically full time at first and then nightly, to help protect the result.

Daily Responsibilities During Treatment
Aligners must be worn, changed, cleaned, and stored according to the personal schedule supplied by Acacia Dental. Remove them as directed for meals and oral hygiene, keep them away from heat, and do not alter an edge or force a tray that does not fit. Teeth and gums still need routine preventive care while orthodontic movement is underway.
Remote scans can add useful progress information, but patients remain responsible for reporting unexpected pain, swelling, damaged teeth, lost trays, or a fit that changes suddenly. The office can determine whether the next step is a new scan, an in-person examination, more time in the current aligner, or another adjustment to the plan.
CandidPro Compared With Braces
Braces and aligners can both produce excellent results, and neither is universally better. Braces are fixed, work for nearly every kind of movement, and do not depend on the patient remembering to wear them. Aligners are removable, nearly invisible, easier to clean around, and gentler on the cheeks and lips, but they rely on being worn about 22 hours a day and suit mild to moderate cases best. Dr. Jeziorski will tell you honestly if your bite would be better served by braces or a specialist.

What If I Lose a Tray?
Call the office the same day. Depending on where you are in the sequence, you may be told to move to the next set early or go back to the previous set until a replacement arrives.
